Copies of Beginning Theory, Interpreter of Maladies, Hinterland, and The English Patient are on reserve at the Central Library, although I'd strongly encourage you to buy your own copies. Copies of the Kuo Pao Kun plays can be found in relevant collections of plays in the Singapore Malaysia Collection.

Literary Theory and Criticism

I have placed the following books on reserve in the main library. They provide opportunities for further reading: The following web sites are useful if you want to explore theoretical concepts a little further.

Michael Ondaatje

First, of course, there's our very own annotated bibliography.

If you would like to find a little more information beyond that contained in the annotated bibliography, a good overview on Ondaatje's life and concerns in the Literature Online database in the Digital Library, and some useful references can also be found in the chapter on Ondaatje in the following text in the reference section of the main library:

Guiyou Huang, ed. Asian American Autobiographers : a Bio-bibliographical Critical Sourcebook. Westport, CT : Greenwood Press, 2001.

I have placed the two following books on reserve in the main library.

They will be a useful starting point for explorations.
