Judas the first kisser was best:
His cause came from the grousing of a Christ
That turned this life into a joke,
A miracle Man with wares
Who asked all ye to labour
Unto an unfamiliar world.
Judas moved his Pharisaical mind
To kiss and keep the status quo.
All that was long ago.
But well-feted Judas stands
Deep in the common hall,
Entouraged, much publicised, not hanged,
Dealing out his candidates.
And generalising on his sacrifice
He kissed the electoral arse.
A great campaign his people said
As Judas continued his loaf for bread.
