Dear friends and colleagues

 

We are writing to invite you to participate in a series of sessions which

we will organize at the Second Global Conference on Economic Geography

which will be held in Beijing from 25-28 June, 2007. We are organizing

sessions that will draw together research in the field of Evolutionary

Economic Geography. All papers are welcomed that address key issues in

Evolutionary Economic Geography, such as the spatial evolution of firm

dynamics, the spatial evolution of clusters, the spatial evolution of

industries, the spatial evolution of networks and the evolution of

urban/regional systems.  We would like to ask you to join in this effort

as presenter or discussant.

 

This conference is the sequel to the first highly successful Global

Conference on Economic Geography held in Singapore in 2000. With alomst

200 academic participants from 30 countries, the Singapore conference was

significant in spurring on economic-geographic dialogue in a sustained

manner worldwide. This conference will discuss and debate current and new

research agendas in economic geography. For additional information about

Please take notice of the fact that the deadline for submitting the

registration form is 30 November 2006 (!). All you have to do right now is

to fill in the registration form (not-binding) which is available at the

website conference, and send it to the local organiser Henry Yeung:

geoywc@nus.edu.sg . All paper presenters are required to submit an

abstract of 100 words (maximum) before 30 April 2007.
