Call for papers on the economic geography of global finance
We invite submissions of papers to be presented at the Second
Global
Conference on Economic Geography, held in Beijing on 25-28 June
2007, at a session entitled Economic Geography of Global Finance.
Papers should have global relevance both in terms of their
contribution to theoretical debates in economic geography and their empirical
coverage. Potential topics include, but are not limited to, global hierarchy
and networks of financial centres, global financial production and value
chains, and off-shoring in financial services. We aim at attracting high
quality papers from America, Europe, and Asia.
Selection will be made on the basis of abstracts to be submitted
by the end of January 2007. However, we will be grateful for expressions of
interest as soon as possible. Further enquires and correspondence should be
directed to Dariusz Wojcik at d.wojcik@ucl.ac.uk.
