Tutorials

The first tutorial will be held in AS4/01-06, a computer laboratory, in the week beginning Monday August 12, 2001. You must not miss the first tutorial.  There are five time slots:

Tuesday August 13, 2002: Noon - 1pm; 2pm-3pm

Wednesday August 14, 2002: 10am-11am; 1pm-2pm; 2pm-3pm

View the available time spaces here: Timeslots

Pick a time and email me your choice. hisilg@nus.edu.sg

After the first tutorial session, tutorials will be conducted online through the IVLE over the course of a week (Wednesday-Tuesday). Each tutorial will have its own Discussion Forums on the IVLE. Each Discussion Forum will consist of seven students. For each tutorial at least one student be responsible for leading the discussion every week.

You must sign on to the IVLE Discussion Forum at some stage during the week and contribute. Participation is worth 15% of your final grade. If you do not contribute I will have no information to assess you (I have no way of knowing that you have "attended" the tutorial unless you post a message) and you will receive zero. Please see Tutorial Criteria for a guide as to what I expect. Students leading the discussion in a given week will meet with me on Tuesday or Wednesday of that week for guidance. It is a student's responsibility to arrange this appointment.

We will discuss tutorial arrangements in more detail at the first tutorial.

After enrolling in a tutorial and before August 13 students should select a week in which they would like to lead the discussion, from the list below, and e-mail me their choice.
