| 1. | no final exam scheme is good. the consistant workload will cause some stimulation to the brain every week. liked the moives chosen. more feedback on the projects will be most helpful. |

| 16. | The movies & lecturers are interesting but the projects & essay assigned are definitely not easy. |
| 17. | the course is fun as we get to view movies as our currriculum but without enough guidelines,there's a tendency to perform not as well in the fornightly essays. when the final essay comes, the foundation built up about history represented through films is not strong enough to provide for a good essay. Thats where the problem lies. |

| 34. | The best part for this module is that it help us to understand film in another aspect.Also,it is very relaxing as such that it has only 1 lecture per week.Possible improvement include things like letting the students choose their own themes for each film and let them write a critique over it.As such, there will be better coverage of ideas and also encourage creativity. |

| 42. | This module is different from others. Cool damn cool... An interesting take on History and the influence of modern media on it. To be a 'World Class Institution' NUS needs to be more open-minded and acceptable to such modules. A good indication is the presence of 'Film and History' in many of the considered 'best' Universities in the world. |

| 51. | The strength of the Mod is basically the exposure to various films across the historical eras, which furthers our understanding of these significant periods. Also, the non-examinable part is a bonus. However, i would suggest that a few more international films be added to the Mod. Currently, we have a couple from japan and Hk. I would recommend films from europe other regions. |

| 57. | The module enables students to be exposed to a variety of films and draw a link between them and the diciplines they study at school.This is beneficial to the students as more often than not, we tend not to see the big picture of the sibjects we do and staunchly compartmentalise them solely as sibjects, this module shows us a way in which we can break away from this mold. Even the intranet forum tutorials were ok, but lectures could have been a whole lot better. Difficult to see the relevance of the lectures to the topic frequently. Perhaps more time should be spent on lectures - a 2hr GOOD one instead of a half to one hour so-so one? |
| 63. | Interesting and refreshing, i felt that teaching through film was really something new and the module held my interest thoroughly. It opens new perspective and thinking. However, some of the movies were pretty boring... especially the black nad white ones. |

| 74. | hmm i do not have any history back ground, not even during sec sch and have always been an arts student, did this module for interest but could bit more help be given in enlightening us on what the various projects are looking for and comments be given individually for each project so we would know where exactly to improve on. know it's tedious and strainign for the teachers but it would help greatly. |

| 86. | Submissions of projects to be extended to Monday of the following week, instead of the immediate Friday of the week. Hope to have English subtitles to every film if possible due to the slang of the characters in the films and muffling of speakers. |
| 87. | Perhaps the fortnightly projects should be handed in on the following Monday, instead of that particular Friday. This is because we may have many lab reports and projects due that week, and weekends are a good way to give us time to research more and write better in this modules's fornightly assignment. |
