DARA RICHARD
Dara Richard has been teaching at NUS since 2007. She has taught SP1203 for four semesters and been the coordinator for the past two. She has also taught professional communication and academic writing modules.
She has a Masters in Teaching English as another Language and has taught in the US, Japan, Uzbekistan and Malaysia.

LEO KWANG LIN
Leo Kwang Lin is a freelance trainer with many years of experience in teaching language and presentation skills. Her career began with teaching General Paper and Literature at a Junior College. To acquire a varied work experience, she resigned at the end of her teaching bond to take up positions in different fields such as tourism, marketing management and public relations. Before her final career switch, she headed Corporate Communications at an Institute of Higher Learning.
An active grassroots volunteer, she spends much of her time organising community events because she enjoys public speaking and writing speeches.
She taught SP 1203 in 2008 and 2009 and remembers her students for their enthusiastic participation in class and their outstanding posters at the end of the semester.

LEE KIT MUN
Lee Kit Mun first graduated from NUS with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, followed by an Honours degree in English Language. After several years of teaching and educational publishing in the fields of Science and English, she obtained her Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University. She has taught linguistics and grammar at NIE and SIM University as well as academic writing and communication courses, including SP1203, at CELC. |

Dr Amy Rashap
Dr. Amy Rashap, owner of Eloquent English, has a Ph.D. in folklore from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in anthropology from Cornell University. While in the U.S., her career spanned humanities programming; museum education; fund raising; and publishing (15+ years' experience as director of marketing and sales for various U.S publishing houses).
Since coming to Asia in 2002, Dr. Rashap began teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). She received her TESOL certification, wrote 3 ESL textbooks (Reading for Success, primary author), and was director of an English-language school in Singapore. Recently, she has branched out into public speaking coaching, and has helped many senior executives and government officials both write and speak powerful speeches. She has her own business, Eloquent English (www.eloquentenglish.com), and is a Singapore permanent resident. In her spare time she reads (voraciously), writes, travels, and plays with photos in PhotoShop.
In 2009, Sumathi authored the MOE-approved Secondary 1 Normal
(Technical) English textbook, All About English, based
on the 2010 English syllabus. The book is currently in use in
secondary schools.
