Case Study of the Sungei Pandan River

The drainage basin of Sungei Pandan is located in the Southwestern part of Singapore. Its sources of the river can be traced to the lake at Bukit Batok Nature Park (Plate VI). Like most of the rivers in Singapore, the River has been artificially canalized and drained by a network of storm-water sewers. The River actually has another major tributary—Sungei Ulu Pandan to Clementi and Ghim Moh residential estate (Plate VII).The case study will only take you from its mouth to the Bukit Batok Nature Park, one of its origins.
